KIM E. PRESBREY

Kim PresbreyKim E. Presbrey is the managing partner of Presbrey & Associates, P.C.   He has practiced law in the field of workers' compensation since 1977. He attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois for his B.A. and Vanderbilt University Law School, Nashville, Tennessee for his Juris Doctorate. He is past President of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Member of the Board of Governors for the Illinois State Bar Association, member of the Workers' Compensation Section of the Illinois State Bar Association, Vice President of the Workplace Injury Litigation Group, and
Past Secretary and current section member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America Workers' Compensation Section. He has authored numerous articles on Workers' Compensation on the subjects of settlement contracts, trial preparation, Section 7 and Section 8 benefits, case evaluation, vocational rehabilitation, and penalties.  


CHARLES E. PETERSEN

Charles PetersenCharles E. Petersen is an associate attorney of Presbrey & Associates, P.C.   He received his Juris Doctorate from the John Marshall Law School in 1977.   His areas of practice include a multitude of fields such as criminal, plaintiff personal injury, matrimonial law, adoption, probate administration, real estate, and general business law.   He is currently a member of the Kane County Bar Association and the State of Illinois Bar Association.

                    

 


KURT A. NIERMANN

Kurt Niermann

Kurt A. Niermann is an associate attorney of Presbrey & Associates, P.C.   He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Illinois in 1991.   His areas of practice include plaintiff's personal injury work, workers' compensation and Jones Act and Maritime Law.   He is currently a member of the Kane County Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and Illinois Trial Lawyer's Association.  

 

 


MICHELLE D. PORRO

Michelle PorroMichelle D. Porro is an associate attorney of Presbrey & Associates, P.C. She graduated Magna Cum Laude as an Honors Scholar in Psychology from Western Illinois University in 1990 and received her Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1995. She is presently on the Board of Directors for the DuPage Association of Women Lawyers and was President from 2000-2001. She is the chairman for the Workers' Compensation Committe for KCBA and is a member of the ISBA General Assembly, the ISBA Workers' Compensation Section Council, the ITLA, and the WCLA. She has authored numerous Worker's Compensation articles including Arbitration in Workers' Compensation, Alternative Dispute Resolution IICLE, (2001); The Future of Vocational Rehabilitation, Workers' Compensation Law, Vol. 34, No. 4.  Her areas of practice include Workers' Compensation and Breach of Contract and is fluent in Spanish.
